From Cole:

Tuesday, February 28, 2006

Added a scene. There's more than just the two I've shown...but just to let you all know I'm updating...

(Stanford and Fr. Andrew are sitting in Stanfords cell. Playing cards, chess, relazing, what have you.)

Stanford:
Let's say, for the sake of I-get-whatever-I-want, that I got out of here. Where should I go first?

Father:
You mean after church, which is the first thing on your mind?

Stanford:
After church, which is the first thing on my mind.

Father:
I've always liked Ohio. Have you ever been to Ohio?

Stanford:
Nah.

Father:
Ever been anywhere outside of town?

Stanford:
Chicago. That's where I'd go. Hop a train to Chicago.

Father:
You've been there?

Stanford:
Once. When I was little. I went with my family. It was a long time ago. I don't even remember anything about it. I just know it feels familiar there.

Father:
It feels familiar here, too.

Stanford:
It feels like I would get killed if I walked down the street here. I don't imagine the mayor is waiting outside to give me the keys to the city...
...You're the only visitor I've had in about a year. And you come every week. You're my best friend now.

Father:
I don't know what to say. I'm honored, Lee.

Stanford:
Given the competition, I wouldn't be.

Father:
You really know how to make a guy feel special. I'm beaming.

Stanford:
...Ever.

Father:
Ever?

Stanford:
You. You're the best friend I've ever had...

Father:
...how are you doing?

Stanford:
Oh, I'm hanging in here...barely. I've got my creature comforts. I've got alot of time.

Father:
I see you've got the Bible I got you, right here. Read it much?

Stanford:
No.

Father:
You just keep in next to your bed?

Stanford:
Under my pillow, mostly.

Father:
But you don't read it?

Stanford:
I paged through it a few times.

Father:
That's it? You just sleep with it under your pillow?

Stanford:
Or in my arms...It depends on how lonely I feel on the given night.

Father:
...what do you do in your spare time? Do you think about it?

Stanford:
Think about...?

Father:
Chip?

Stanford:
I have alot of time on my hands here. Of course.

Father:
What about it?

Stanford:
Regret is a past time of mine. Between writing letters and praying that God take me soon, I find time to regret alot of things.

Father:
Why don't you send the letters?

Stanford:
No one to read them.

Father:
Send them to me.

Stanford:
Are you sure?

Father:
Of course I'm sure.

Stanford:
Alright.

Father:
Now, about praying that God take you soon...

Stanford:
Oh Hell, here we go again. Can we just give it a rest?

Father:
You could read your Bible.

Stanford:
I could...or it could keep my head up so I don't get a stiff neck.

Father:
Regretting won't make it better, Stanford. It won't change anything.

Stanford.
When I was 13, I broke my mothers vase. It was a family heirloom. I had been playing ball in the house when I wasn't supposed to, and knocked it off the table and it shattered. Mom came home and I told her the dog had knocked it over. The next day, she took the dog and sold it to another family.

Father:
Did you tell her the truth?

Stanford:
Ha! She would have sold me to another family. No, I kept my mouth shut. But I missed that dog somethin' terrible. I regretted it everyday since then. I kept saying that if I could take it back, I would. I would just stay up some nights, feeling absolutely terrible about it. I almost believed that if I suffered enough, for doing that, it would get better. My dog would come back and the vase would be fixed.

Father:
What happened?

Stanford:
What do you think happened? I lost alot fo sleep. That's about it. I realized that regretting wasn't going to work. Life is full of regrets. It hurts so much so that we don't have to make these mistakes again. But the pain is not a purgatory so that we may redeem ourselves for a second chance. The regret is a lesson that we learn so that we can make the best of the damage that's left over it. It's too late for me to feel sorry fo that boy or his family. But I'll never, ever, do anything like that again if given the chance.

Father:
So...you don't lose sleep over it anymore?

Stanford:
I didn't say that. I'm just saying I stopped believing this was a bad dream a long time ago.

I think the movie should have a feeling of almost southern touch! So I think im gonna start watching movies that hone in on that overthe top southern....Suffistication!
I think Lady Killers is a perfect movie to watch if anyone else feels that they should I would recommend it!
If eanyone has any recommendations for movies or has symphony edition to garage band either would be much appreciated!

I've really been thinking from the cinemagraphic level of the story I'v been tossing the idea of to different colors of mood Orange (which would give the characters a lot of room to be like by the audience!) it gives a very warm comfort feeling....Or a harsh blue which makes character seem very vulnerable, but it leaves a large task of making the characters be liked, I think im gonna go with the orange warm color...or well idk!!!
